Beyond the 100% commission : what estate agents need to know about CCH

Agents often focus on the commission split when deciding to join a real estate company or move to a different estate agency. However, beyond the immediate financial considerations, there are several vital factors that agents need to think about to ensure their long-term success and personal fulfilment.

We are proud to have had many high-performing, experienced agents choosing to join CCH, and the following are some of the most important concerns they have raised before making that decision:

1.       What type of leadership is part of CCH, and what is their vision?

At CCH, leaders act as mentors, not supervisors or record-keepers, and actively support their member agents’ businesses to reach their fullest potential.

Driving everyone toward a common goal of creating happy customers while maximising revenue growth for both agents and the company, is not an easy task for a predominantly virtual business model such as CCH. Over the last 18 years CCH focussed the company’s vision on providing the member agents with a competitive support basis and platform on which they have real freedom to interact and transact with their clients.

2.       Are CCH’s core values healthy?

It is always very difficult to define or describe a company’s culture – as it is the element which are often seen as the backbone of any successful company.

At CCH we strive to create happy customers, long-lasting relationships, and consistent revenue growth. For CCH, “customers” are both our member agents as well as all those South Africans who need a property service.

This two-throng focus, and approach, is not a contradiction. CCH fosters an environment where accountability (compliance), empathy, and ethical negotiation practices is non-negotiable, while at the same time striving to support and empower our member agents to operate their businesses truly independent. For CCH “independent operators” are not part of a slogan – they form the backbone of our business.

CCH believes in South Africa and more specifically in its real estate industry. We do not believe in “re-igniting estate agent’s passion for real estate” – as that means such agents simply do not have the required passion necessary to thrive in a very competitive environment. What CCH however do believe in, is to constantly search for innovative ways of supporting and strengthening our member agent – logically all within a relatively small company’s budgetary constraint.

One thing is certain at CCH – change is a constant – but our core values are not changing!

3.       How trusted is the CCH brand?

CCH, though not a national brand, has been operating for 18 years. In the Helderberg area, where it originated, CCH is a leading agency in terms of market share and agent representation, particularly in Strand and Gordon's Bay. Our member agents have been working for over a decade in the Cape Town Metropolitan area, the Cape West Coast, Cape Winelands, and the Cape Whale Route. This experience has enabled us to deliver exceptional real estate services and build a recognizable brand that aids our agents in establishing and maintaining client relationships. CCH's foundation of accountability ensures that both clients and agents can trust the company to fulfil its commitments and rectify any errors. As a relatively small, regional estate agency, we lack complex hierarchies and rigid structures. This allows for a dynamic exchange of ideas and information across all levels, ensuring our office managers and leadership are always accessible to customers and agents.

4.       How is CCH helping me to grow?

Estate agents require more than just the chance to earn 100% of all the commission. They also need access to resources, training, and a supportive environment, both of which CCH offers.

CCH continually updates our agents on the latest Proptech technological advancements and international best practices. Our member agents must be adaptable, confident problem-solvers who can think on their feet and have been empowered to do so.

5.       CCH employs the latest Proptech (technology) and marketing tools

CCH member agents have access to the latest Ai driven social media marketing tool to succeed in a competitive market. Additionally, as well as state-of-the-art technologies such as a WhatsApp lead management tool which transforms the way you capture, analyse, and enhance your real-time lead interactions.

Our Office Management System (OMS) is provided by the No.1 rated Proptech company in South Africa which shares your mandates to all the top websites in South Africa, as well as to a leading international luxury property portal. The volume of marketing platforms we employ are easily on par with the biggest national brands and beyond what estate agents can afford or maintain independently.

6.       Is CCH socially responsible?

CCH values community involvement and participates in a wide range of charitable activities, including supporting animal shelters, senior homes, youth shelters and creches in previously disadvantaged communities, blood drives, and beach cleanups.

Summary

CCH’s agent-focussed leadership, culture, proven track record, strong regional brand reputation, innovation, support, and social responsibility all contribute to our member agents’ passion, engagement, and ultimate success in their real estate businesses.
