Less Than A Week To Object To Your Cape Town Property's Value!
Dear Property Owner,
Are you aware that the City of Cape Town released its General Valuation Roll on 21 February and it could have a major impact on the Rates and Taxes you pay.
Johannesburg Ratepayers saw increases in Rates of up to 65% this year due to major hikes in their Municipal Property Values. It is vital that Cape Town property owners check their new Municipal Property Values now before the objection period closes on 30 April.
Please click on the link below where you can view the GV 2018 roll:

If you are of the opinion that the amended market value does not reflect the reasonable market value of your property, it is well advised to raise an objection as the current determination affects the rates you will pay for the next 3 to 4 years. Owners who disagree with the valuation, have until 30 April 2019 for online objections.
You can submit your objection in one of the following ways:
- Email the completed form to valuationsobjections@capetown.gov.za
- Online via e-Services (https://eservices.capetown.gov.za/irj/portal)
