Property Market Update: Corona Virus - Deeds Office and CCH Property Services
CCH member agents and office will be providing virtual property services during the 3 weeks lockdown.
Following President Ramaphosa's address that from Midnight on Thursday 26 March 2020, only essential services will remain operational:
- Pharmacies
- Banks
- Supermarkets
- Petrol Stations
- Healthcare Services
- Companies essential to the production of food, basic goods and medical supplies
You will therefore be able to:
- Get Petrol
- Buy Groceries
- Visit Pharmacies
- Seek medical care
- Access banking services
The Deeds Office shall accordingly be closing on Thursday 26 March 2020, which will in turn have consequences for all transactions not yet registered on 26 March 2020. With immediate effect, lodgements have been suspended until further notice.
CCH member agents and admin staff have been working remotely since last week and will assist clients by way of email, Whatsups, Whatsup calling and other software such as Teamviewer etc. (when applicable). Signature of documents can be attended to on video calls (if necessary).CCH's photographic team has also during the last few months spend a lot of time prepping and strengthening our mandates with 3D virtual reality tours which provide a fully immersive experience for potential buyers. CCH has employed this technology quite extensively during the last year and has concluded quite a few offers on properties from buyers - WITHOUT the buyer actually been physically to the property.
